June Book | Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life… and Maybe the World by Admiral William H. McRaven
June’s gathering continues The Creative’s Book Club with Make Your Bed, a short but powerful book about discipline, resilience, and the quiet impact of small daily choices.
As we move into summer and life starts to feel fuller and more scattered, this month brings us back to simple grounding practices. This book is a reminder that meaningful change is rarely built through huge dramatic moments. More often, it’s built through consistency, courage, and the small things we choose to do well when no one is watching.
Participants will purchase and read the book on their own throughout the month. If you read about 30 minutes a day, the book takes roughly one week to finish. Come with any passages, ideas, or moments that challenged the way you think about discipline, purpose, leadership, or perseverance.
We’ll meet Tuesday, June 16, from 6–8 PM, at THE BEAUTY FACTORY for tea, conversation, and thoughtful connection.
You’re welcome to attend just this month or join us for the full year. Each gathering stands on its own and offers space to reflect, connect, and grow at your own pace.
Reading Time (30 minutes/day): About 1 week
Energy of the month: Grounded, steady, and clarifying. This book matches that.
